Style Dayne was born in Southern SK raising cattle, poultry and quarter horses. From an early age Style got involved in Film/TV working on Saskatchewan based Film/TV projects while still attending high school. In 2010 Style moved to Vancouver to attend a specialized college in performance arts graduating top of class. From 2010-2020 he worked with Hollywoods best, with a notable role in Marvels record breaking Deadpool.
In 2020 the industry hiatus brought Style back to his roots in Saskatchewan and is now shifting focus towards Producing, specifically in SK. In 2022 he would go on to win "Best Scripted" for his film Ghosts of Yesterday from the prestigious Yorkton Film Festival in addition to writing Summer at Charlottes; it was the first feature film in 2022 to receive Creative SK funding.
In addition to his work in Film/TV, Style has gone back to University in Regina. He is completing a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Philosophy, Politics & Economics, and a Certificate in Political and International Governance. Style remains active in grassroots organizing around 2SLGBTQ+ advocacy in local organizations, student politics, Municipal and Provincial government.
Style now lives on an acreage outside of Regina, Saskatchewan. He is encouraged by the prospect of the growth potential in the Saskatchewan Film/TV industry. Combining his current studies and knowledge of the industry he sees advantages to innovate and enhance the industry to create longevity, sustainability and economic development, specifically in rural and remote jurisdictions.
In 2023/24 Style has been selected for the inaugural Whistler Film Festival and Creative Saskatchewan Market Accelerator Program. This is a long form intensive mentorship program partnering Saskatchewan producers up with Industry mentors for 8 months of project development, marketing, sales and financing. His project Staffed is a political satire/comedy TV series showcasing how various levels of government interact with one another specifically in rural and remote Saskatchewan where family values, community pride and hard work is key to getting shit done.
